UK Storm Gathering Sea Symposiums
- Embrace the Elements -

The aim of the Storm Gatherings is to bring together kayakers of all abilities with similar passions and provide practical programmes with an emphasis on preparing for challenging conditions, commitment and open crossings. The concept behind these sea symposiums is to create a mobile sustainable event that encourages paddlers to gather in different parts of the UK at a time of year when the weather can be all but friendly.
`

The intention is to draw upon the knowledge and expertise of respected coaches, seasoned expedition paddlers, established retailers and manufacturers to further our understanding of sea kayaking through workshops, presentations and discussion.
The 1st UK Storm Gathering in 2006 was held on Mull and around Iona. You can read
feedback about this event on the
forum page.
The 2nd Storm Gathering was held on the Isle of Lewis in 2007.

The
3rd Storm Gathering

Gathering will be hosted in Cornwall in 2009. For further information and to register an interest, please contact
