This is what Thomas Nicholson, who imports Tiderace Kayaks into Norway, got up to recently on the western side of the Outer Oslofjord, south of the city Larvik with his Tiderace Xplore. Photo credits go to his friend HÃ¥kon Bonafede

These pictures represent another dimension of sea kayaking, that of open crossings and commitment

This was a trip undertaken by Kay Southway and friends to Skellig Michael

Myself and Patrick Winterton paddling around Iona and the small rocky Isles (and a reef) west of Iona at the Mull Storm Gathering Oct 2006. Large swell with stiff breeze. Warm and sunny. Main group had decided not to do it.

If you have an inspiring picture (s) you'd like to share that relates to storm paddling or adventures on the high seas, send it over to me and it can be posted here

A book of your choice from Pesda Press will made available to the best picture submitted as judged by myself and the guest coaches

Thanks go to Kay Southway for getting the ball rolling (and guaranteed a prize is no-one else submits)

If you already have every Pesda Press book then a suitable alternative will be offered :0)
